Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer Senior Advisor to help support our Space Force program.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Network Engineer Senior Advisor supporting Space Force, you will be trusted to review and evaluate information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems to ensure adherence to government quality standards.
The Network Engineer Senior Advisor will make an impact by:
- Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.
- Configures routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
- Configure COMSEC Equipment and support the management of COMSEC equipment.
- Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
- Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
- Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.
- Plans implementation of enhancements.
- Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions.
- Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
- Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software.
- Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.
- Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Designs and builds the hardware/software components for telecommunications networks.
- Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.
Required Skills:
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- BA/BS, 10+ years' experience years of experience in Network Administration
- IAT Level II certification
- Willing to report onsite
- Experience designing and defining network architecture for new or existing computer systems
- Experience with cloud/server/network/storage implementation and support
- Experience with VMware implementation and support
- Experience maintaining up-to-date documentation, and prepares documentation for infrastructure changes
- Due to the nature of work this role entails up to 25% travel
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with DOD Government customers
- Experience / familiarization of cloud environments, CDS Solutions, VMWare
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Cisco Networking Certifications

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
