Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Fabricated Parts IPT Lead to join the Electronics Programs Team based in El Segundo, CA

In this role as the Fabricated Parts IPT Lead, you will lead others and direct phases of cross-organizational projects with oversight and management responsibility for all Fabricated Parts across multiple electronics projects and units. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in all project management areas and will be required to maintain performance management and associated reporting in support of organizational goals and objectives.You will develop program and organizational work structures, top level program execution plans, and facilitate the resolution of program issues. You will support the Common Products Electronics Managers and Program Managers in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics utilizing Program Management Best Practices.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates and analyzes integrated cost, schedule, technical, and risk management plans for fabricated parts supporting electronics unit hardware and/or STE development and delivery
  • Functions as the primary project contact to identify key project schedule updates as it relates to part delivery and production readiness
  • Leads planning efforts to determine impacts and constraints involving engineering specifications, drawing release, parts procurement strategy and activities, and supplier management support.
  • Coordinate with programs and capabilities to optimize unit hardware production pipelines and deliveries and participate in or lead weekly production reviews and kit readiness meetings
  • Defines required resources from space electronics engineering, operations, and supplier management to build cross functional teams necessary to execute strategic procurement plan
  • Drives weekly working meetings to ensure assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing required status, tracking and reporting.
  • Develop charts for fabricated part procurement and kit readiness while maintaining earned value best practices
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project(s) as well as projected and historical reports for incorporation into future product/project plans
  • Formulates and maintain statement of work (SOW) for units procured by subcontract and coordinate related make/buy assessments.
  • Cultivates solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.

This position is 100% onsite.  The chosen candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed locations.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 2 years experience working on/with fabricated parts for electronics units
  • 2 years of experience managing project or sub-contract build schedules
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, PPT, MRP Systems
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Experience working with military or space electronic parts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain
  • More than 2 years of experience managing project schedules and utilizing standard project management tools
  • Experience working across functions in a leadership role
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Familiarity with Electronics Units, STE and corresponding development and build flows
  • Experience working with Bills of Material and Engineering Drawings

Summary Pay Range: 

Level 2 - $81,600 - $110,400      

Level 3 - $101,150 - $136,850
