Job Description
The Materials Safety-Quality Partnership Executive Section Leader will be responsible for driving a culture of shared ownership for product safety across GE Aerospace and its suppliers.
Key responsibilities will include:
-Leadership and oversight of supplier activities focused on improving product safety.
-Establishing strategy for safety and quality partnerships with suppliers.
-Functional responsibility for maintaining effective partnerships with GE Aerospace Quality and Sourcing.
-Offering guidance, leadership, and mentoring to internal and external stakeholders focused on improving the safety, quality, and reliability of GE Aerospace products.
-Driving development and application of materials processing design practices.
-Ensuring structured problem solving is employed for Root Cause Analysis using FLIGHT DECK tools.
-Driving generation of robust materials and processing product requirements for component teams.
-Regularly interfacing with internal and external customers to appropriately escalate risks and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
-Minimum of 8 years of technical leadership experience
Desired Characteristics:
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering is preferred
-Prior experience managing technical programs and developing new products
-Experience leading root cause investigations
-Prior experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, Lean principles, and industrialization methodologies
-Strong coaching expertise and demonstrated success working across business functions and suppliers
-Strong business acumen
-Strong customer mindset
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
