Job Description:
Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
What You Will Do:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer II, Service Engineering professional to join our team, focusing on the Tactical Command System (TCS), Battery Command Post (BCP), and Reconfigurable Tactical Command System (R-TCS). In this role, you will be responsible for generating training materials, conducting Formal Qualification Tests (FQTs), and supporting system design initiatives for technology refresh and obsolescence management. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing the Technical Data Package for Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) releases, executing fielding upgrades, and providing essential technical support to warfighters. The position also includes training personnel on new equipment, ensuring effective integration and operational readiness within the field.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Perform engineering activities in support of the Patriot program for the Tactical Command System (TCS), Battery Command Post (BCP), and Reconfigurable Tactical Command System (R-TCS)
Analysis of Patriot System Test Data.
Software Requirements analysis.
Designing and conducting software validation test.
Analysis of TCS/BCP test data to determine test objective status (PASS/FAIL).
Publishing test conductor and test analysis reports.
Developing lesson plans and Technical Manuals for elements of the Patriot system.
Training Soldiers on the Patriot System.
Participate in the upgrade of the TCS and BCP Technical Data Packages (TDP).
Participate in peer reviews, resolving identified problems, interfacing with, and providing support to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead, System Engineering lead, and other team members.
Travel to and from Patriot Sites in support of testing, upgrades and training.
Additional Responsibilities will include:
Review ECP documentation and identify the additions, changes and deletions for impacts.
Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) costs for inclusion in the ECPs.
Perform Quality Control checks and verify that all changes are incorporated.
Actively participate in daily and weekly Configuration Control Board meetings.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and two years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree .
Experience with Patriot Product Line and associated Major End Items with a general understanding of Life Cycle Engineering
Experience with reviewing and understanding Technical Data Packages including but not limited to general understanding of Product Data Management (PDM).
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Microsoft Office products skills
Excellent communication, organization and investigative skills required
Ability to work independently and to deliver accurate documentation under deadline pressures
Security+ or other equivalent security related, industry recognized certification.
Experience in Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
