Job Description:

A DSMS DevSecOps Administrator, supporting the Application Development Team, is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of all servers within the Azure DevOps and Spirateam IT infrastructure ensuring optimal performance, ensuring smooth operation of continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines and facilitating efficient software development workflows across teams by administering project collections, managing permissions, and overseeing server health, Ensure system availability by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing necessary updates and configurations, while adhering to established security protocols.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

  • Ability to perform initial On-Premise software install and configuration of both Microsoft Azure DevOps and Inflectra's Spirateam and Rapise server applications.
  • Proficiency in Azure On-Premise services, including virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases.
  • Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git, for managing and tracking code changes.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automating tasks and processes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance and reliability management.
  • Understanding security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Policy, and managing secrets with tools like Azure Key Vault.
  • Diagnose and resolve server-related technical issues, including hardware failures, software conflicts, and application errors.
  • Provide timely technical support to internal users on server-related problems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams, with strong communication skills to drive DevOps culture.
  • Monitor server resource utilization to identify potential capacity bottlenecks and proactively plan for upgrades or scaling.
  • Optimize server performance through configuration tuning, key management and resource allocation.
  • Assist the Enterprise System admins as assigned.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Implement and enforce robust security policies on servers, including user access controls, password management, and encryption standards.
  • Monitor server logs for suspicious activity and investigate potential security breaches.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, applying necessary mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of implementation of DoD DISA STIG requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to DevOps processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile process and procedures for software engineering.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of CMMI process and procedures or like system.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Migrate tfs to azure import.


Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Security +
  • Associates. Degree required; direct work experience may substitute for education. (1 year experience = 1 year education).
  • Two to Three (2-3) years of experience providing application development support.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
