Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team in Berkeley, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge/expertise in areas of hazardous waste, RCRA, CERCLA, waste prevention/ minimization and regulatory reporting

  • Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems, processes and programs

  • Works with others to assess the impact of emerging environmental issues on company operations

  • Supports site interface with state and federal regulatory agencies and environmental reporting

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 1+ years’ experience in Environmental Engineering

  • 1+ years’ experience interacting directly with state and federal regulatory agencies

  • 1+ years’ experience with environmental compliance, spill response, and water quality

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental management, biology or chemistry

  • Experience with environmental compliance and/or regulations

  • Hazardous Waste shipping experience

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
