Position Summary
Qualified, experienced, and certifying Aircraft Battery Shop Technician in the Battery Shop.
Minimum Requirements
Essential
- Basic AMEL held for a minimum of 05 years.
- Minimum 03 years of certifying aircraft batteries.
- Degree/ diploma in engineering/ Science.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Reliable and flexible to shift work.
- Computer literate.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English - speak, read and write.
Desirable
- FAA A&P / GACA Repairman with Battery Rating
- Work experience as aircraft technician and willing to accept other tasks in spare time.
- Team player.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, and inspection of aircraft batteries as required by its
- customer and certify the work performed.
- Ensures the servicing and inspection of aircraft batteries are in accordance with the FAA/GACA and
- customer requirements.
- Read and understand Work Instructions, Component Maintenance Manuals (C.M.M.), operating
- procedures and Customer Spec. requirements.
- Ensure personal qualifications and authorization are maintained current.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring workshops and workspaces are maintained clean & orderly.
- Mentoring Battery shop Trainees to enhance their skills, qualifications and credentials.
- Ensuring inspections are conducted I.A.W. approved data and regulatory standards.
- Advise Battery Shop Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager of any defects which may compromise
- safety.
- Carry out before use, daily & weekly tool checks and in use chemical checks and correctly identify,
- label and control battery shop tools.
- Maintain the highest standards and safety in all working practices.
- Taking on other duties within his/her capability as delegated from time-time.
Physical Demands
Physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arm; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or up to 15 Kg. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus

Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
